Korean Lash Lamination

More Information

Korean lash lamination is the new generation of lash lifting: cysteamine-based formulas instead of thioglycolate, shorter processing time, a mild scent and a soft natural curl from the root. This page gathers everything an artist needs for the Korean technique: full kits and single steps, shields and pads designed for the technique, and powders that replace glue.

What Korean lash lamination is

Classic lifting relies on ammonium thioglycolate, which opens the bonds in the hair quickly but also dries it out. The Korean technique uses cysteamine, a derivative of a natural amino acid found in the hair itself. Cysteamine works gently and steadily, so the result is more even, lashes stay flexible and glossy, and the treatment can be repeated more often without damaging the hair structure. The fixing step closes the bonds again and the care step restores moisture and protein.

What you will find here

  • My Lamination cysteamine kits: the 3-step Korean lash lift sachet kit and steps 1, 2 and 3 sold separately.
  • IC Factory systems: the lash lamination set and the One Step method with Bond Builder and Volume Filler.
  • ZOLA Pink Protein Reconstruction: a cysteamine-based protein system for lashes and brows, as a kit and as single steps.
  • Shields and pads for the Korean technique: flat shields, pads and rods that give the typical Korean lift from the root.
  • Fixing powders: powders that replace lift glue, hold the lashes on the shield and thicken the solutions.

How to build your working set

If you are new to the technique, start with the 3-step sachet kit: one sachet is enough for one treatment and the product stays fresh. A busy artist will prefer single steps to restock only what runs out. For shields choose a flat shape or Korean rods, and hold the lashes on the shield with powder instead of glue, especially for clients sensitive to adhesives.

Frequently asked questions

How is Korean lamination different from a regular lash lift

The main difference is the active ingredient: cysteamine instead of thioglycolate. It is gentler on the hair, the processing time is shorter and the curl comes out soft and natural. The technique also uses flat shields and works from the root, so the result looks like lifted rather than curled lashes.

How long does the result last

Usually six to eight weeks, depending on the lash growth cycle and home care. Because cysteamine is so gentle, the treatment can be repeated as soon as the lashes grow out, without a long recovery period.

Do I need lash lift glue

No. In the Korean technique it is convenient to work with fixing powder: a little powder on the shield or mixed into the solution, and the lashes settle and hold without pulling or glue residue. If you prefer glue, you will find it in the lash lift glue section.
